2nd player is a podcast that was started by three coworkers in August of 2007. Michael Sica decided to start the podcast in an effort to receive free games from manufacturers. He invited Daniel Roop because of his podcast experience and incredibly suave nature. No one really knows why Bucky is there.

The podcast was described by a leading podcast critic as “an avant-garde tour-du-force, chock full of off-canter humor, scathing criticisms, and deep, colorful insights.” The hosts welcome all criticisms so that they may promptly ignore them and ridicule anyone foolish enough to criticize such an inspired work.

The hosts went through several names before deciding on 2ndplayer. The name came to Bucky while he was in a 7-11 bathroom.
