[insert appropriate holiday adjective here] [insert holiday here] to all. Sorry about the lack of 2nd Player content lately. All the members of the team have had different things come up over the last month, and it doesn’t seem to be slowing until after the holidays. Even though it isn’t audio goodness I wanted to put this entry out there to let everyone know what has been happening with 2nd Player over the last few months. Our listenership has been steady, so thank you to everyone who is spreading the word, keep up the good work! Because of rate of growth we decided we needed to start adding additional reasons to come to our site. These additional reasons were why we choose to start a hiatus. So what have we come up with.

Written Reviews

We want to provide raw opinions (directly from the author) about any game we have played or are currently playing. Each review will be a snapshot into the reviewer’s perspective, and not a watered down mashup of everyone’s opinions. We are also starting to pull in additional people to help us write reviews, and we will be announcing them at a later time. One thing we would definitely like to see is your thoughts on games. If you have a review you want to put out there, send us an email, or just post your comments on our existing reviews. We are hoping to build a community where people give their honest opinion about games, not some technical analysis of the game.

News Commentary

We realize that we currently don’t have any “in” into the industry. So the only thing of value we bring is our perspective, which we hope you will come to love and enjoy. So from now on when we see a piece of news that just hits us the wrong way, or gets us super excited, you can bet your grandma’s britches that we will be posting our thoughts. This will hopefully not take away from the podcast any, just give us additional fodder to talk about when we do each episode.

So that is the new direction. We are going to attempt to start the podcast back up after the new year, but you should start seeing reviews appear over the next couple days.
